Maintain a Slower Pace of Life

 
 
 

Are you feeling the pace of life speed up right now? There's more intensity and busy-ness and schedules are getting full again. Calendars are booking far out. My husband is putting business trips on the calendar and so am I. There are now in-person meetings and social engagements and this energy of life is speeding up. Are you feeling it? Are you also feeling a little bit of anxiety and a little bit of uneasiness with going back to the intensity and the speed and the way things were? I am here to remind you that you are still in control. I want to remind you that you can always make choices to design and create the work and personal life that you desire, that aligns with your values and that matches the energy and the way that you want to feel.

You can prioritize calm. You can prioritize downtime. You can prioritize a lot of family connection and not fill your calendar with a lot of engagements. You are still in control. If we've learned anything from the past 15 months, is that there is value in rest. That there's wisdom in stillness and slowing down. So even though the world is saying you should do this and you should do that, you know what's best for you and for your family and for your career and for your mind, body and soul. What do you want to preserve?

One of the clients that I was talking to this week was saying how she's getting invited on all of these business trips and all of these friend trips and all of these engagements, and it's making her feel anxious. I don't want you to feel anxious. You don't have to. You can prioritize exactly what you want and create the life this summer, this fall, that you want.
