How to optimize stress. Welcome back to my YouTube channel and today's topic is how to really use stress to help you perform better in your career and also to have it strengthen your immune system. So, number one is to remember that stress can be a performance enhancer. You cannot have chronic unchecked stress, but when you have stress throughout your day, throughout your week, it can actually allow you to optimize your performance if you are recovering after stress. Number two is when you have those big goals in your life is to break them down into small pieces, accomplish those daily, and that is going to help you to optimize your stress as well. Number three, this one's so important, is to label stressful situations. When something is challenging to you is to say out loud to yourself or to someone else, "This project I'm working on is really stressful. This project I'm working on is challenging me is pushing me." Just by saying that out loud, that's going to help you optimize stress.

Number four is actually reframing stress. You might feel that the word stress is negative, or you might feel that what you're going through is negative. If you can reframe that and say, "This project, this situation is challenging, but it's teaching me something," just by reframing the situation you're going to be able to optimize your stress. Number five is instead of seeing stress as a threat, see it as a challenge. You know that you can do challenging things. You know that you can rise, you can grow, you can develop from challenging experiences, so instead of seeing stress as a threat, it's a challenge. Last but not least a way to optimize stress is through deep breathing, getting present, slowing down, and just connecting with your breath can help you optimize those stressful situations, the challenges that you're up against.
