My Favorite Meditation App: Insight Timer

A few years ago my amazing life coach, Cherie Healey, introduced me to the practice of meditation and it has made a profound positive impact on my life. I practice formal and informal meditation on a daily basis and have seen how it has made me more calm, resilient, patient, and self-aware.

I wanted to share my favorite app with you, Insight Timer (https://insighttimer.com/). I am a fan of guided meditations and there are a wide variety of meditations ranging in teachers, locations, and topics. You can try a 1-minute meditation or settle in for a longer experience. I bought a meditation pillow and love sitting there, with my eyes closed, for a moment of calm. It has taught me how to notice my thoughts vs. being lost in them. I can see when my brain is going into a negative spiral and am now better at pulling myself out it quicker. I still have a real challenge staying positive when I am sleep-deprived, but thatโ€™s ok! We are a work in progress right?
